Rosemary hails from Southport Lancashire, England where she grew up as the eldest of six children. At eighteen she joined the Red Cross Nurses during WWII, and on her twentieth birthday she met her beloved husband Bill. Coincidently on that day, August 6th, 1945, was the day the Atomic Bomb was dropped. They were married on that August 6th, 1947, two years later to the day.
They began their married life living with Bill’s sister on the outskirts of London. While walking in Piccadilly Circus they saw a banner that said ‘Fly to Canada’. Neither of them knew much about Canada and after a short discussion they decided to take a leap of faith. Not knowing what to expect they boarded a flight and began their new lives in Ontario. Over the years they lived in: Niagara on the Lake, Montreal, Toronto, Victoria and Vancouver. In 1953 Bill and Rosemary adopted their first child of four. During this time she worked as a Real Estate Agent, Nursery School Teacher, Mother and Home-maker.
Rosemary’s dream had always been to write, but she found that children, life and work kept her more than busy. Bill sadly passed away in 2001 and knowing that Rosemary would struggle with the loss of her true love after 53 years he asked her to promise do something remarkable with the rest of her life…and not to follow him too quickly.
Rosemary listened to the last words of her love, and even though it was difficult she decided that this would in fact begin her life-long dream of writing and becoming an author. She threw herself into her work giving it her all, and today she has incredibly finished 12 novels and is currently working on her 13th. She now lives in Vancouver, BC and works closely with her manger, BG. In her novels she makes use of her wealth of life experiences to create compelling stories that are for both young and old. Read one of her novels and feel the life in the pages she writes; her stories are easy to read and her heartfelt words will stay with you, forever.
